Yoga Warriors is operating on a very minimal budget despite having received national media exposure. Additional funding would allow them to conduct a large, multi-location study that would provide research evidence necessary to help politicians make informed legislative decisions to better serve our returning troops. Funding is also needed because there are many vets who need assistance in getting to the classes, and there are yoga teachers currently working for free who deserve to be paid for their hard work. This service should be available to vets in every state, which would necessitate funding for expansion, training, and facilities. Veterans need and deserver our support, and The Vietnam Veterans for the Community is advocating funding for the Yoga Warriors program through the Veterans Administration.
